How a future therapist uses astrology for relationships, parenting & self-discovery
What happens when astrology stops being something you read and becomes something you can actually talk to?
For Blake Pierson, that shift changed the way he used astrology.

One of my favorite parts of my conversation with Blake was actually about parenting.

He uses it with his sons.
And he shared an example that beautifully demonstrates one of the most practical uses of relationship astrology.
Sometimes, one of his sons will do something that hits Blake emotionally.
Without context, it's easy to interpret that behavior through his own lens:
Why is he acting like this?
Why doesn't he understand why this matters to me?
Why does this feel so personal?
Then Blake can look at the dynamic through their astrology.
His son has Mars in Aries. Blake has a Scorpio Moon.
Suddenly, he's able to consider:
Maybe his son isn't experiencing this interaction the way Blake is at all.
Maybe what feels emotionally loaded to one person is simply the other person moving naturally through the world.
As Blake explained, that perspective can "take the personalization out of it" and help him connect with who his son actually is rather than only interpreting his son's behavior through his own emotional experience.
This May Be One of Astrology's Greatest Gifts in Relationships
It gives us another language for difference.
You can love someone deeply and still be wired completely differently.
Your partner doesn't necessarily need what you need.
Your child won't necessarily process emotions the way you do.
Your friend may communicate in a way that would feel completely unnatural to you.
Understanding those differences doesn't mean excusing hurtful behavior.
But it can make it easier to separate:
"This person is different from me"
from:
"This person is doing something to me."
Astrology as a Language of Compassion
Astrology has sometimes been called a language of compassion.
I love that description.
Because when you begin to understand someone's blueprint, it can become harder to assume that everyone should operate the way you do.
Of course, astrology doesn't excuse our choices.
Your birth chart isn't a get-out-of-jail-free card for behaving badly.
But understanding another person's cosmic wiring can give you context.
And context can create compassion.
Blake connected this idea to something even deeper: intimacy.
To him, intimacy involves understanding and accepting who you are while also being able to stand beside another person and recognize their truth — even when their truth is different from yours.
That's a very different use of astrology than trying to determine whether two zodiac signs are "compatible."
It's astrology as a practice of seeing.
Can AI Astrology Replace a Human Astrologer or Therapist?
No.
And it shouldn't try to.
Blake is currently studying to become a counselor, so I was particularly interested in his perspective on where a tool like Star Path fits alongside therapy and other forms of personal growth.
He made an important distinction.
There are things that happen through human attunement — the experience of being witnessed, understood, and held in relationship with another person.
AI isn't a human being.
It can't replace that.
