How a Medical Herbalist Uses Astrology to Build a Sustainable Business

It's time for everyone's favorite feature:
what actual humans in our community are doing with Star Path!
(we do these to give you out-of-the-box ideas for how to use astrology — and to support the fascinating people who support us)
Today, I'm featuring Charlotte Webb — a medical herbalist in the UK.
She has a really interesting story (+ area of expertise) — and just wait 'til you see how she's using astrology to build a business that actually works with her energy.
But first...
What do herbs have to do with astrology?
Well, we're smack in the middle of Virgo season. And among other things, Virgo is...
...the sign of the herbalist.
Seriously.
Virgo rules "preventative health" — and traditionally, shamans, herbalists, and earth-based healers were all associated with Virgo.
Here's what's interesting:
Health has a mind-body connection...and so does Virgo.
Interestingly, so does Charlotte. Her area of expertise is:
- women in their mid 20s–50s who are neurodivergent or sensitive,
- who deal with the physical health issues that go along with that,
- and often get missed by the conventional medical health system.
Here's her story.
How Charlotte uses her birth chart to build a sustainable business
Charlotte's been a medical herbalist since 2011. She got into the field because she basically had to heal herself from a bunch of stuff her doctors couldn't solve.
Not surprising, considering her birth chart:
- Ruled by the Moon in Virgo (the herbalist) = her body is sensitive.
- 12th house stellium = she needs deep rest, and alone time.
So how do you build a practice with that birth chart? How do you serve the people who need you...without burning out?
Turns out, brick-and-mortar wasn't the answer for Charlotte. A year into opening her store, she was totally exhausted.
So when she found Star Path last February, she knew she needed to pivot.
"I'm really passionate about what I do, but I had to find a format that really supports me and my patients, and is sustainable."
Charlotte's results after using Star Path for business planning
Charlotte started using Star Path in March, about 2–3 times a week.
She says that as she started using astrology to understand herself and plan her business around her natural rhythms, things began to shift — a lot.
Since then:
-
Her business decision fatigue has dropped by about 50%. Charlotte has AuDHD, and says using Star Path 2–3 times a week helps her make decisions with more context and less overwhelm.
-
She made 30% more in July than she did in any of the previous three months. Charlotte says Star Path was a contributing factor because she was living cyclically, planning her work rhythms, and following her astrology transits for launch and pull-back windows.
-
She got a book deal. After using her birth chart to build more awareness around her strengths as a writer, she had the audacity to tell a friend about her book idea. Her friend's response? "Can I publish this?"
Charlotte describes the bigger shift like this:
"As soon as I really leaned into that, things have really changed for me. I have all this awareness and context. I've made massive moves since then."
And perhaps my favorite thing she said:
"When you start leaning into your gifts and authenticity, things start to feel a little bit easier."
That's the beauty of astrology 😉.
How to use astrology to find a sustainable business model
The truth is: some business models don't work when you're sensitive.
Here's what Charlotte asked Star Path to find the right fit for her.
Astrology prompts for your business
-
Based on my birth chart, would I suit (business model A) or (business model B) best? Parameters: I want to be (e.g. working from home, kid-friendly hours) and I don't want (e.g. to have a brick-and-mortar store anymore).
-
What's my ideal weekly work rhythm based on my natal chart and the following parameters? (e.g. I need kid-friendly hours and I don't do well in mornings.)
-
Every month I ask: Produce a 1-page (A4) planning sheet covering my key transit windows, energy forecast (to plan for AuDHD burnout), and content or launch windows for this month. (I then print this out and refer to it daily.)
-
Lay out 3 timing windows for a launch in the last quarter of 2026, based on my chart and the transits.
-
Check the transits for the next quarter for burnout risk. (This one helped Charlotte get ahead of this Uranus in Gemini!)
