How a public speaking coach used astrology to stop "picking a lane" in her business

How a public speaking coach used astrology to stop "picking a lane" in her business

What if the parts of your business that seem like they don’t fit together… actually do?

That was the question facing Eunice Brownlee, a public speaking coach, writer, and speaker who helps people bring important messages into the world.

After 15 years in marketing, Eunice had pivoted into work that felt deeply aligned: helping women tap into their wisdom, find their words, and share what they have to say.

But as she built her new career, she ran into a frustrating business problem.

She didn’t have one thing she wanted to do.

She had two.

Eunice wanted to grow her business as a public speaking coach — while also building her own career as a paid speaker, talking about trauma, abuse, and the justice system.

Traditional marketing advice told her to pick a lane.

She didn’t want to.

So she asked Star Path.

And the answer completely changed the way she saw her business.

The problem: “Which part of my work do I lead with?”

Eunice’s path into public speaking was deeply personal.

During one of the hardest periods of her life, she was invited to write a story about how we pass wisdom to our daughters. It became her first published piece — and sparked a much bigger realization.

She had a story she needed to tell.

That desire eventually led her into public speaking and, unexpectedly, into coaching other people who also had something important they wanted to say.

The work felt right.

In fact, as Eunice learned more about her birth chart, she realized just how aligned this new career was with who she was.

“I am living right square in the middle of the highest, best version of myself right now.”

But there was still a practical question:

How was she supposed to market all of it?

On one side, Eunice was a speaker with her own message.

On the other, she was a speaking coach helping other people share theirs.

And from a traditional marketing perspective, those two identities seemed to compete.

If she talked about trauma, abuse, and the justice system, would potential coaching clients understand what she did?

If she only created content about public speaking, how would anyone discover her as a speaker?

The advice she kept encountering was familiar:

Pick one. Focus. Choose a lane.

But that didn’t feel right.

“I’m not gonna put part of my dream on hold so I can build up the other part of the dream. I’ve been doing that. It hasn’t worked.”

She asked Star Path a business question — and got an answer based on her birth chart

At a conference for creative entrepreneurs, Eunice found herself thinking about the problem all over again.

She had just taken a class about creating Instagram Reels.

Immediately, her marketing brain kicked in:

Great. But what would I make the Reels about?

Her speaking?

Her coaching?

Which message was she supposed to build?

Instead of continuing to spin on the question, Eunice opened Star Path and asked.

Star Path’s answer surprised her:

Based on her chart, being both wasn’t the problem. It was the strategy.

Rather than separating the two sides of her work, Star Path suggested that Eunice lead with herself as a speaker — and let her own journey demonstrate the expertise she could then offer her coaching clients.

In other words:

Don’t pick a lane. Build the road that connects them.

Suddenly, the two pieces of her business weren’t competing identities.

They supported each other.

“I’ve been so focused on creating a marketing message for one or the other, I never even thought to put them together.”

The answer landed so deeply that Eunice started crying.

When her friend arrived for dinner, Eunice began reading her parts of the Star Path conversation.

Her friend’s response?

“That is you.”

Eunice agreed.

“It’s like I just somehow got an astrology reading and a business coach and marketing support all in one chat.”

Astrology gave her permission to build a business that actually fit her

This is one of the reasons astrology can be such an interesting tool for entrepreneurs.

Most business advice is built around generalizations.

Find your niche.

Choose your audience.

Pick your offer.

Create one clear message.

And sometimes, that advice is useful.

But it can also leave you trying to squeeze a multidimensional person into a business model that was never designed specifically for you.

Your birth chart offers another lens.

Instead of asking only:

“What is the smartest business strategy?”

You can also ask:

“What is the smartest business strategy for the way I’m actually wired?”

For Eunice, that distinction mattered.

Star Path didn’t tell her to abandon good marketing principles.

It helped her see how the different pieces of her work could fit together in a way that felt both strategically coherent and personally authentic.

From “Which idea?” to “Here’s the next step”

That first breakthrough wasn’t the only way Eunice began using Star Path in her business.

Like many entrepreneurs, she has a lot of ideas.

And historically, traditional brainstorming and business workshops sometimes created more overwhelm rather than less.

“I generally find that when I do programs like that I come out with more ideas than I went in.”

So Eunice started bringing those ideas to Star Path.

At one point, she had two different programs she wanted to launch, both somewhat time-sensitive.

Again, she worried about confusing her audience.

Should she launch both?

Which should come first?

What exactly was the offer?

Who was it for?

She gave Star Path the context and asked where to start.

This time, instead of generating another giant list of possibilities, Star Path helped her prioritize.

It gave her a specific order: do this first, then that.

From there, Eunice used the conversation to distill a big, heady brainstorm into something much more concrete:

  • What is the offer?
  • Who is it for?
  • What comes first?
  • What does she actually need to communicate?

Then she could take that clarity and do what she does best: write.

Using AI without losing your own voice

There’s another important piece of Eunice’s experience with Star Path:

She’s a writer.

She doesn’t want AI to do all of her thinking and writing for her.

Instead, she uses it to help her get to the insight faster.

She’s also used Star Path to feed in podcast episodes, pull out some of the deeper ideas she shared, and repurpose those ideas into Instagram and LinkedIn content.

For Eunice, the distinction comes down to using AI in alignment with your values.

And because Star Path already understands the context of her birth chart, she finds herself spending less time trying to engineer the perfect prompt.

“I feel like she gets me right away.”

With other AI tools, Eunice says she can end up repeatedly explaining:

No, that’s not what I meant.

No, that’s still not quite it.

With Star Path, the initial response often feels much closer to the person she actually is — which means she can spend the conversation going deeper instead of constantly correcting the context.

The bigger transformation: trusting herself

The most powerful change Eunice describes isn’t a marketing tactic or even a particular business decision.

It’s self-trust.

As a speaking coach, Eunice already teaches her clients to trust the wisdom they have inside themselves.

But through her own work with Star Path, she realized she was beginning to practice that same trust more deeply in her own life.

“I’m leaning into that as a person, as a business owner, as a woman, as a mother.”

She describes moving through life differently: listening more closely to herself, noticing opportunities, and trusting what resonates.

That doesn’t mean every decision becomes effortless.

There are still disappointing results, awkward conversations, bumps, and hiccups.

Star Path isn’t there to make decisions for her.

It gives her information — and she decides what to do with it.

So, what is Star Path?

Eunice has a simple pitch for friends who already love astrology:

“I know you love astrology. This is a tool you need to have.”

But for someone who doesn’t know much about astrology, she describes Star Path differently.

It’s a tool for getting meaningful insights about yourself — while still leaving you completely free to decide what those insights mean and what you want to do with them.

It isn't fortune-telling.

It isn't there to dictate your future.

It's information you can reflect on, question, explore, and use.

And because it's available whenever you need it, Eunice compared the experience to something surprisingly simple:

“It’s kind of like your journal, if your journal could write back to you.”

What happens when your business is allowed to look like you?

Eunice came to Star Path with a question entrepreneurs hear all the time:

Which lane should I pick?

The answer wasn’t necessarily to choose better.

It was to stop assuming she had to choose at all.

Her work as a speaker and her work helping other speakers weren't two unrelated dreams fighting for space.

They were part of the same story.

And sometimes, that’s the kind of clarity we need most.

Not another expert telling us the “right” way to build a career, launch an offer, or market ourselves.

But a way to see the patterns that were already there — and trust ourselves enough to build from them.

For Eunice, Star Path has become part of that reflective practice.

“I’m so grateful to you for creating Star Path and for giving us this tool. It’s become such a big part of my reflective practices.”

And perhaps that’s the best description of what astrology can offer in business:

Not a set of instructions for who to become — but a clearer view of who you already are.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the best way to use this software if I want to eventually become an astrologer myself?

Step one of an astrology journey is to understand yourself. Truly, understanding how different placements, aspects, and transits show up in your own life will give you the most embodied knowledge of how astrology "works". Once you get it for yourself, it's easier to apply it for others (which you can do by chatting with Star Path about people you add to Your Circle). That being said, we also offer Astrology 101 classes as part of our Pro+ plan - so if you want to start a formal learning process, that's a great place to begin.

Why are Star Path's AI astrologers better than other AI astrologers?

Other AI astrology apps use a single large language model to power their AI, combined with different "voices". In contrast, the team at Star Path hand-picks the best models from multiple companies, and creates system prompts that maximize the best of what those models can do - so you can talk to an analyst, a friend, a writer, and a strategist with curated processing power.

Why is Star Path different from other AI astrologers?

The Pattern, AskSoma.ai, and Sanctuary are astrology apps that use AI. Star Path flips the script: it's a full-scale AI chat platform built on astrology. This means you can use it just like ChatGPT or Claude - for therapy, business strategy, or self-discovery - with all the features of an AI chat platform (plus the rigorously accurate math of a professional astrologer). This lets you go deeper, and immediately use what you learn about your birth chart in practical ways.

Is AI astrology better than a human astrologer?

No, not necessarily. It really depends on what you're looking for. In fact, Star Path was designed to amplify human astrologers, not replace them. Here's why: many people feel safer exploring "the deep stuff" with an AI because there's no fear of judgement. This makes Star Path a great tool to actually integrate what you learn from a human astrologer - and we actually have professional astrologers using our product who will give their clients prompts for integration. It's also available 24/7, so many people like having access to in the moment guidance when they can't wait several weeks to see their astrologer. That being said, humans can hold other humans in a way that AI can't. Human astrologers also bring their personal life experience into sessions, which can be beautiful if you're choosing to consult with someone who's walked a path similar to yours, or has added expertise in an area of interest to you (like business development, or medical astrology). We recommend working with human astrologers & wisdom keepers, and using Star Path to go a layer deeper, integrate in between sessions, and actually apply what you learn to real-life situations (like business planning, parenting, and more) - which most astrologers aren't equipped or available to help you with. Star Path is an AI chat platform built on astrology, so like ChatGPT or Claude, you can use it to do actual tasks. You can't do that with a human astrologer - so Star Path is great for taking action, not just insight. That's why it pairs well with in-person sessions, if you choose to have them.
